ADACS were again invited to contribute a training workshop at the annual Harley Wood School for Astronomy. The theme for this year was “computing, careers, and dark matter”. ADACS developed four short courses that focused on developing skills for computing and careers, while the dark matter theme was covered off by astronomy experts.
The workshop was hosted at the picturesque spring bay mill, Triabunna, Tasmania. The four short courses were “Scientific Computing”, “Computing Best Practices”, “Data Management”, and finally “Project Management”. The courses were run as software carpentry style workshops, and the materials for the course can be found on the course website.
